Exercise 1: The Fox and the Grapes

One hot summer’s day, a fox was walking through an orchard. He spotted a bunch of juicy grapes hanging from a vine. His mouth watered as he stared at the grapes. The fox jumped, but he couldn’t reach them. He tried several times but failed. Finally, he walked away, saying, "Those grapes are probably sour anyway."

Exercise 2: The Hike

Jake and Mia went on a hike with their class. They climbed up a steep trail and saw many animals on the way. Jake saw a squirrel, and Mia spotted a deer drinking from a stream. When they reached the top, they had a picnic and enjoyed the view of the mountains.
